Your Language Course
Our General English Course is the right course for you if you wish to improve your fluency, accuracy and confidence when using the English language. You will develop your conversational skills, boost your English level quickly and effectively and improve your grammar knowledge.
The course is for adult students of all ages (minimum age 16) and levels: elementary to advanced. Our teachers are qualified, native level speakers with experience in teaching English as a foreign language. Classes are of maximum 12 students in off-peak season and 15 students in peak season of different nationalities. Europa School of English is accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English in the UK and a member of English UK and English UK South.
The General English Course is the foundation course on which you can build and add on our supplementary products; Intensive English, IELTS Preparation and English At Work.
By the end of each level on our General English Course, students will be able to:
- Communicate effectively in various real-life situations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in essential grammatical structures.
- Expand their vocabulary for practical communication.
- Develop accurate pronunciation and intonation.
- Apply critical thinking skills to analyse and understand texts at a deeper level.
- Use language skills confidently in real-world scenarios.
By joining our General English Course (20 lessons / 15 hours per week), you will have four lessons in the morning from 9:30 am to 1.00 pm. Minimum number of participants: 4 per Class. If the number of students is 3 or lower the course may still take place but there may be fewer lessons offered, in this case you will be informed at the time of booking. How We Teach
Our competency-based program focuses on grammar, vocabulary, functions, pronunciation, and critical thinking skills, ensuring that every student's language needs are met during their stay. We believe a relaxed learning environment is the most effective way to improve so we use lots of task-based activities, games and discussions which give our students the chance to use what they learn in real communicative contexts.
Our General English syllabus is based around the common European framework. Our teachers’ resource room is well-stocked with classic and new teaching materials.
We have internet access in all classrooms and interactive whiteboards in some classrooms. Students are assessed informally with weekly quizzes and assignments to gauge grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation progress. Mid-term and final exams are used to evaluate overall language proficiency. Speaking and listening assessments are carried out based on real-life situations. And there are critical thinking assessments through written essays and discussions.

We reserve the right to offer lessons in the afternoons. No tuition on bank holidays:

No refund is offered for lessons not taught on public holidays. Lessons will not be made up.
* Please note: Tuesday start if the bank holiday is a Monday.
